3. Keep up on your car’s maintenance and safety features. Adjust your mirrors, check your oil and brakes regularly, and check that your safety features such as ABS or back-up cams are still working properly. Don’t take your safety features for granted. Back-up cameras can fail, as can brakes. Keeping your car well-maintained will prevent more expensive repairs or more severe accidents later on.
4. Avoid uncomfortable situations. If you feel nervous driving at night or during inclement weather, avoid driving in those conditions when you can. If you can’t, then reduce your speed and take extra safety precautions. It’s better to get where you’re going late than not at all.
